Your place in a shared future
Engineer Africa connects people across Africa and around the world who want engineering knowledge to serve communities. Start with your interests, your experience and one useful contribution.

Engineers, students, educators, tradespeople, business owners, researchers and supporters all bring something useful. You can contribute local insight, technical judgment, coordination, funding connections or the willingness to learn. You do not need an engineering degree to join the community.
Find groups organized around a place, a discipline or a practical question. Share relevant experience and learn what others are working on.
Look for published opportunities, describe your availability and apply for work that fits. A project team confirms roles and access before collaboration starts.
Use the introductory Engineering Lab, contribute a resource for review and keep track of your participation from your dashboard.
Start with work you can responsibly take on. Agree the scope, time commitment and local counterpart. Respect people’s privacy, communicate when circumstances change, and share knowledge with the permission of those who contributed it.
Project roles can require relevant qualifications or supervision. Joining does not certify professional competence, give you access to a private project, or authorize you to act for an organization. No assignment, mentor, job or funded project is guaranteed.
Community participation is separate from formal organizational membership and governance rights. The published bylaws describe the original membership arrangements. Any formal application is reviewed separately under an approved policy; an account does not confer voting rights.
