ENGINEER AFRICA / A LEARNING OFFERING
The Engineering Lab is one part of Engineer Africa’s wider mission. This introductory software course starts with API testing: understand the contract, find the edge cases, and make a release decision you can explain.
No account or payment needed to begin.

}THE LEARNING PATH
Work with an order-quote API and move from a single request to a repeatable set of checks. Each lesson combines a short explanation, a practical challenge, and feedback from your tests.
Turn an API requirement into explicit, executable checks.
Reproduce a regression, then prove the expected behavior.
Combine positive, negative, and regression checks into a reviewable result.
PRACTICE WITH PURPOSE
This English-language lab is designed for engineering students, early-career developers, and curious people who want to understand how reliable software is tested.
Your curiosity is the starting point. Basic JSON familiarity is helpful; a commercial software subscription is not required.
Change an input, run an assertion, and see the result. Work through a small, concrete engineering problem.
Inspect expected and actual responses, check your coverage, and download the evidence from your run.
Learning sits alongside Engineer Africa’s work in knowledge exchange and collaboration on community challenges.

Contact Engineer AfricaYes. All three lessons, the request simulator, test suites, and rule-based feedback are free. You can start without a card or an account. Your drafts, completion and recent test runs are stored in this browser. Open My learning to return to your progress; clearing browser data removes it.
Open My learning from any page on the Engineer Africa website. Your dashboard shows the lessons completed in this browser and the next lesson to try. From the lab, use the learning navigation to switch between your dashboard, course overview and practice workspace. Optional sign-in adds account progress when accounts are available.
No. A browser and an internet connection to load the page are enough. The introductory project uses a deterministic training API in your browser. You write JSON assertions rather than execute arbitrary code on a server. Basic familiarity with JSON helps; the lessons explain the essentials.
The lessons and deterministic test results are available now. Optional AI explanations are a separate prepaid service when the tutor is enabled. AI responses can be wrong; the API contract and test evidence remain your reference.
You will have practiced API testing and built a record of your learning. Lab completion is separate from an assessment credential. This program does not promise accreditation, employment, or a professional engineering license.
Available payment methods are shown at checkout. Mobile-money access has not been launched, and no payment is required to use the free lab.
Engineer Africa operates this educational program and controls its learner relationships. The current free lab runs independently. Any future Zof AI services will be disclosed when available; learner details are not automatically passed to Zof AI for sales.
