We bring African engineers and the diaspora together to exchange knowledge, understand local needs, and explore how engineering can serve communities.
OUR PURPOSE
Engineer Africa works to strengthen engineering knowledge and practice across Africa. Our mission is to build an engineering community that connects local knowledge with the experience of engineers around the world.
That includes African engineers living on the continent and those in the diaspora. We want expertise to travel between communities through collaboration, the exchange of ideas, and opportunities to learn from one another.
Our interests span disciplines such as civil, mechanical, electrical and software engineering. Affordable housing, road development, flood prevention and urban connectivity are part of the broader engineering questions that guide our work.

Established in December 2018, Engineer Africa is a nonprofit organization incorporated in Minnesota. Its published establishment records include its incorporation document and the IRS determination recognizing its status under section 501(c)(3).
The organization's stated purposes include charitable, scientific and educational work, connecting the diaspora with communities in Africa, and nonpartisan research and education.
